Ministry Bio:I was saved on April 4th, 1990, and right away I started telling everyone about Jesus. I starting playing the drums in the Student Ministry Band, and preaching. I noticed a gift and passion in my preaching with results. Soon afterward one Wednesday in the middle of the sermon I asked Laura “Wouldn't that be cool if we became the Youth Pastor’s here someday”? Seven years later that took place as I became the Youth Pastor at Christian Center of San Jose. In my time there I saw incredible ministry growth. This happened through Missions trips, telling people on the streets about Jesus, Powerful Illustrated sermons, a skate park, internships and a ministry that eclipsed the attendance of the main church on Sundays...

I have served as the Northern California/Nevada Assemblies of God South Bay Youth Pastor Sectional Leader. I would mentor and gather with Youth Pastors for unity, support, connectedness and at rallies we'd showcase each Student Ministry specialties.
In 2002 I was drafted by Family Community Church in San Jose www.fccchurch.com to Pastor the Youth and College Age. Once again we saw incredible growth and ministry establishment through Missions trips, telling people on the streets about Jesus, Powerful Illustrated sermons, concerts, and internships. Our plans were to be there for a long time but then... God called...
In 2004 God broke my heart for a Church in Los Banos who had been without a Pastor for quite sometime. Little did we know how perfect God’s timing was and He brought together a Pastor and a Precious group of people in a New Beginning.
Since coming here we have shifted the paradigm and established an electric, and relevant style of ministry. We desire to meet people where they are at. We know that together we are all a collection of moral foul-ups needing Jesus. Each week we gather together, to heal together, to grow together because with Jesus we are all better together!
Family Facts: I was born and raised in San Jose, CA. My wife Laura and I are High School sweet hearts. We got together on April 4th, 1990, after attending a Student Ministry service. Aruta born June 6th, 2002, and Tony James Aruta born Sept 20th, 2004, and “Yeller” Aruta Born May 30th, 2007. Tyler loves reading and animals. Tony loves building things as well as the moon. Ministry Bio: I gave my life to Christ in September 2002 during a difficult time in my marriage. Prior to this and most of my childhood, I did not believe in a God, I truly believed we were a freak of nature, Darwinism. At about my college years I began to really question that and started second guessing why I believed what I believed. As I moved in to young adulthood and began dating Pat I slowly began to believe there must be something bigger than me. Once we moved to Los Banos, I seemed to come to the decision that we could NOT be a coincidence, there had to be something bigger, yet still I did not accept the bible or Jesus...

Then in September 2002, after a conversation with a friend who told me how it was, all that changed. Once I was saved, God made some immediate changes in me and I was baptized the following spring. I started attending church and felt a desire to help spread God’s word. I now help several days a week in the church office and with various church events. My husband and kids lives have been affected and we all attend church together.
Family Facts: I am a wife to my husband, Pat, of 12 years and a mother of two young, beautiful, energetic boys, Kyle and Joshua. My husband and I started dating when I was 19 and he was 22, we married 4 ½ years later while I was in my junior year of college. Once I graduated we moved to Los Banos from Santa Rosa to buy a house and start our family. I have been the director of domestic services in my home now for 6 years and love it. As a family we love to do things together, such as camping, biking, swimming, watching movies and playing sports.
Favorite movie: My favorite movie is “Shawshank Redemption”. I’ve probably seen it, at least 20 times and could watch it again. I don’t know why I love it so much but it is really well done and has a little of everything. I also love “Notebook”,it’s a great love story.
Favorite Bible verse: My favorite bible verse is Hebrews 11:1 Faith make us sure of what we hope for and gives us proof of what we can not see.
Hobbies: I enjoy gardening, biking, exercising, camping, reading and being with my family

Ministry Bio: I gave Jesus my life when I was 5 years old. I remember knowing that I would be involved in Ministry from a very young age. I was baptized at the age of 15 involved in a Street Drama Team, played on Worship Teams, Sang in Choirs, performed in Musicals and Plays & Volunteered with Youth. I interned when I was 18 for a church in the Music Department and the Children’s Ministry Department. I have taken Bible Classes and worked with Youth and various aspects of Church Ministry for many years. I have lead and facilitated Divorce Recovery Classes and know that God uses life experiences so that we can become more effective in ministering to others. I have a degree in Child Development and have always had a passion for children. I began working at NBSC as a volunteer with the Youth in 2003 then in 2005 I became the Volunteer Children’s Coordinator. God opened up an opportunities for me work at the church full time in 2006.
